Divided Nation Blog

As you recall my theme is freedom. It's a perfect topic for this period, which witnessed the final abolition of slavery in the United States. This followed the 13th Amendment, which emancipated slaves in both the North and South. I chose this link, to be able to fully explain and understand what the 13th amendment really meant for our nation. I think this is a perfect example of freedom for my blog, once again i believe freedom is the one of the most beautiful things someone can have. Please check the ling and enjoy.:)

Founding Freedom

As you remember the theme of my blog is freedom. There were many examples of freedom during the founding period. I have decided to discuss the emancipation of slaves in northern states. I read the following link. I believe this is one of the best examples to explain and show freedom in America history. All northern states decided to free all the black lives that were in slavery for years.

Since always humans have been trying to find freedom whether it has to do with where we come from, our skin color, sex, or for just being who we are. Gay marriage has been a big issue for the past years, because for them not being able to be married was stopping their right of freedom.
This article talks about how for years all across our country people have been trying to have the right to marry someone with the same sex. Marriage is something that anyone can do whether you're religious or not, marrying is and it has become something that everyone waits for in their future. To create a family with someone that you care about and love. Some people over years haven't be able to do that legally and there for they believe that's taking away freedom from them.
